Lužany Castle, located in Lužany in Czechia, dates back to the 13th century when a wooden fortress stood on the site.

It was later rebuilt into a Renaissance chateau around the 16th century and underwent significant Baroque transformations in the early 19th century. In the late 19th century, the renowned Czech architect Josef Hlávka acquired the estate and carried out a major reconstruction, creating a two-story building with a "Y"-shaped floor plan inspired by northern Italian villas.

Hlávka, who spent much of his later life in the castle due to illness, contributed greatly to Czech arts and culture and hosted many important Czech intellectuals and artists there. The castle includes a chapel and a landscaped park with a Renaissance garden.

It is recognized as a cultural monument and reflects a rich architectural and cultural heritage tied to the influential life of Hlávka and the evolution of noble residences in the region.
