Manderley Castle is a striking Victorian-style castellated mansion located in Killiney, County Dublin, on Ireland’s southeastern coast. Built in 1840, it was originally known as Victoria Castle and later Ayesha Castle before being renamed Manderley Castle. The property is best known as the home of Irish singer Enya, who purchased it in 1997 and named it after the fictional estate “Manderley” from Daphne du Maurier’s novel Rebecca. Surrounded by approximately 3.5 acres of gardens and woodland, the castle offers views over the Irish Sea and is notable for its towers, battlements, and historic character. A former tunnel linking the grounds to Killiney Beach has since been sealed. As a private residence, Manderley Castle is not open to the public, but it remains one of the most recognizable and intriguing landmark homes in the Dublin area.
