Manila Ocean Park

Manila, Philippines

Manila Ocean Park is the Philippines’ first world-class marine-themed park and oceanarium, located behind the Quirino Grandstand at Rizal Park along Manila Bay in Ermita, Manila. Opened on March 1, 2008, after construction began in April 2007, the park houses 14,000 sea creatures from approximately 277 species indigenous to Southeast Asia in its flagship Oceanarium, which features 3,000 cubic meters of filtered Manila Bay water and a spectacular 25-meter (82-foot) curved walkway tunnel offering a 360-degree underwater view of fish, rays, sharks, and stingrays. Beyond the Oceanarium, attractions include Trails to Antarctica (the country’s first penguin park with Humboldt penguins), the Jellies Exhibit, Shark and Stingray encounter zones, the Birds of Prey Kingdom, World of Creepy Crawlies (featuring frogs, insects, and spiders), entertaining Sea Lion and All Star Bird shows, a Mermaid Swim Experience, fish spa, glass-bottom boat rides, and the Ocean Park Aqua Adventure water park. The park operates Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM, is family-friendly with an 8.8 average rating from over 16,000 reviews, and also hosts Hotel H2O on top of the Oceanarium, making it both an educational facility for marine conservation and a popular integrated urban resort destination.
