Manzaneda is a remote rural municipality in eastern Ourense province, Galicia, Spain, nestled within the Terra de Trives comarca amid the Serra do Xurés mountains, home to fewer than 400 residents across 110 square kilometers of rugged terrain reaching 1,780 meters at Cabeza de Manzaneda.

Best known as Galicia's sole ski resort and winter sports hub established in the 1970s on its northern and eastern slopes, it features 12 ski runs, artificial snow-making, lifts, hotels, and facilities attracting families and beginners alongside summer hiking, mountain biking, and nature trails through oak forests and glacial valleys near the Portuguese border.

The area blends Celtic castro heritage, Roman roads like the Nova route, and monastic history with modern tourism, offering panoramic views over the Bibei River canyon and proximity to natural parks in an unspoiled inland Galician landscape.
