Medina del Campo is a historic market town in Valladolid province, Castilla y León, Spain, on the Zapardiel River with roots in pre-Roman Celtic settlements and later Berber origins before Christian repopulation after 1085.

It flourished in the 15th-16th centuries as a major commercial hub hosting international trade fairs for wool, textiles, and banking, drawing merchants and serving as a royal residence under Isabel la Católica, who was briefly imprisoned nearby at Castillo de la Mota.

 Key landmarks include the restored 15th-century Castillo de la Mota, Renaissance palaces like Palacio de Dueñas, surviving medieval walls, and the Museum of the Fairs, reflecting its decline after the 17th century but revival through rail and wine trade.
