Migdalor Beach (also called Lighthouse Beach) is one of Israel’s most southern beaches, located about 8 kilometers (5 miles) south of central Eilat in northern Eilat, roughly 2 kilometers from the border with Egypt.

The name “Migdalor” means “lighthouse,” and the beach is named after a lighthouse on a hill across the road from the shore. It stretches about 200 meters, has pebbly shores and seabed with white sand in parts, and features clear blue waters of the Red Sea that are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving in a spectacular coral reef teeming with colorful fish and marine life.

The beach is known for its calm, peaceful, and intimate atmosphere, with chill-out music playing in the background, making it popular for relaxing, eating, drinking cold beer, and watching sunsets. It offers basic amenities including a café or bar with a kitchen that stays open until the small hours, free umbrellas, paid sunbed rentals, showers, toilets, and equipment rentals for snorkeling and floating mattresses, though there is no lifeguard service.

Migdalor is considered Eilat’s best “wild” beach, usually not crowded but sometimes getting overcrowded, and it has parking nearby (typically 20–30 ILS per day) and is accessible by bus number 15 or 16 from Eilat Central Bus Station, which takes about 15 minutes to reach the “Migdalor Beach” stop. The best time to visit is during the warm summer half of the year, and visitors should wear coral shoes or watch their step when entering the water to avoid stepping on sea urchins.
