Milčeves

Milčeves is a small village that forms part of the town of Žatec in the Ústí nad Labem Region of northwestern Czechia.

Located about 7 km south of Žatec, the village has a long history, with its first written mention dating back to 1318, and today it has around 100 residents. Despite its small size, Milčeves is known for several historical landmarks. These include a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from 1753 and a late Baroque château built by the Černín family of Chudenice in the late 18th century.

Both are important reminders of the village’s cultural heritage. Surrounded by the rural landscape of Bohemia, Milčeves offers a quiet village atmosphere and reflects the traditional character of the Žatec area, which is famous for its agricultural and hop-growing history.
