Moravská Třebová Castle is one of the most important Renaissance monuments in the Czech Republic and stands at the heart of the historic town of Moravská Třebová.

Originally built as a medieval castle in the 13th century, it was transformed into a Renaissance residence from the late 15th century onward, introducing some of the earliest Renaissance architectural elements in the country. The château is known for its elegant arcaded courtyard, historic tower, and richly preserved Renaissance details.

During the town’s golden age, when Moravská Třebová was a center of humanist learning known as the “Moravian Athens,” the castle became a symbol of culture and education. Today, the castle is a national cultural monument and a popular visitor attraction featuring exhibitions on local history, medieval life, alchemy, and regional heritage.
