Moravský Krumlov Castle is a historic château in the South Moravian town of Moravský Krumlov, originally built as a medieval castle in the 13th century before being transformed into a Renaissance residence during the 16th century.

It became an important administrative and cultural center for several noble families and remains the town’s most prominent landmark. The château is known for its elegant arcaded courtyard, grand halls, chapel, and extensive park. Over the centuries, it underwent multiple renovations, incorporating Renaissance and Baroque features while preserving elements of its medieval origins. 

In modern times, the castle gained particular fame for housing Alfons Mucha’s monumental Slavonic Epic paintings for many years. Today, it continues to host exhibitions and cultural events, attracting visitors interested in art, history, and architecture. Surrounded by the scenic Rokytná River valley, Moravský Krumlov Castle is valued as one of South Moravia’s most significant historic and cultural attractions.
