Motako Gaztelua, also known as Castillo de la Mota, is a 12th-century medieval fortress crowning Mount Urgull in Donostia-San Sebastián, Gipuzkoa province, Basque Country, Spain.

Originally built around 1194 by King Sancho VII of Navarre as a defensive stronghold overlooking the Bay of La Concha and Urumea River estuary, it protected the city from pirate raids and invasions through centuries of expansions including bastions, ramparts, and artillery batteries added under Charles V and later engineers.

Withstanding sieges during the 1813 British bombardment and Carlist Wars, the restored ruins now house the Casa de la Historia museum showcasing San Sebastián's evolution via artifacts and audiovisuals, accessible via hiking paths with sweeping coastal panoramas.
