Muralla de Tudela de Duero
Tudela de Duero, Spain, Spain
Muralla de Tudela de Duero is a 13th-century medieval defensive wall that once fully encircled the town of Tudela de Duero in Valladolid province, Castilla y León, Spain, built during the reign of Alfonso X el Sabio.
Constructed to protect against invasions, it featured two main gates—one westward toward Valladolid and another eastward leading to the bridge—with remnants of one gate still visible today. Though largely vanished, surviving traces parallel the river along Paseo de la Muralla, reflecting the town's strategic role in Castile's frontier history amid its growth as a rural settlement.
