Constructed as the province's most opulent noble residence with corner turrets hinting at its former splendor, the robust stone walls protected a now-dismantled complex whose facade was relocated stone-by-stone to León's Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Regla, while escutcheons and elements scattered across local churches and palaces reflect its lost magnificence amid wartime looting and 19th-century dispersal.

Today, these weathered remnants stand as evocative ruins evoking the family's historical prominence, celebrated in Lope de Vega's plays and tied to figures like Godoy's lover Pepita Tudó during the French invasion.
