Nääs Slott
Sweden, Sweden
Nääs Slott is a 17th-century manor house located by Sävelången Lake in Västergötland near Lerum, east of Gothenburg, Sweden.
Originally established as an estate in 1529 by Joen Småswen and later owned by noble families like Ulfsparre, Oxenstierna, and Reenstierna, it gained fame in the late 19th century under the Abrahamson Foundation as Sweden's premier handicraft college, preserving its turn-of-the-century interiors almost untouched since 1898.
Today managed as a cultural heritage site with restaurants, craft shops, and workshops, it offers public access to its historic buildings, gardens, and events celebrating Sweden's National Romanticism era.
