Nitzanim Beach is a scenic, family-friendly beach located on Israel’s Mediterranean coast midway between Ashdod and Ashkelon, about a 30–40 minute drive south of Tel Aviv.

The beach offers clean sand and water with basic amenities including showers, restrooms, changing facilities, and a restaurant serving light refreshments. What makes it unique is a small pond just before reaching the beach, where families can rent pedal boats and even wade through the water with waterproof sandals, making it especially appealing for young children.

The beach is part of the larger Nitzanim Sand Dune Nature Reserve, a protected 21,600-dunam area declared a nature reserve in 2005, and the northern part of the reserve is open to the public year-round free of charge. Nearby attractions include the historic Nitzanim Kibbutz memorial (Andarta La’lochemet Ha’Ivria) commemorating women who fell in Israeli conflicts, and the Shikmim Field School housed in a historic “castle” building from the 1948 War of Independence.
