Nová Včelnice is a small historic town in the South Bohemian Region of Czechia, home to around 2,200 residents and located about 12 km northeast of Jindřichův Hradec along the Kamenice River in the scenic Křemešník Highlands.
First mentioned around 1360 as a village with a fortress, it grew in the 18th century with guilds and saw its chapel rebuilt into the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in 1786, gaining market town status in 1790 and full town rights in 1884 before a brief loss and restoration in 1998.
The area features fishponds, a preserved Jewish cemetery from 1800 with about 120 tombstones, and appeals to hikers and cyclists amid rolling countryside.
