Nuevo Nayarit, formerly known as Nuevo Vallarta, is a residential resort community located in the Municipality of Bahía de Banderas in the Mexican state of Nayarit.

It lies about fifteen minutes north of the Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. This modern development was initiated by the Mexican federal government more than two decades ago and now features luxury villas and estates, many with private docking piers and canals lined with tropical gardens.

Nuevo Nayarit stretches along more than five miles of white sandy beach and includes a state-of-the-art marina with 3,000 slips and a PADI 1-Star Career Development Dive Center.

The area caters to tourists from North America and Europe and offers a blend of upscale amenities such as shopping malls, restaurants, and resort facilities. In 2022, the area was officially renamed Nuevo Nayarit to emphasize its identity within the state of Nayarit rather than its proximity to neighboring Puerto Vallarta. The climate is tropical, with average temperatures around 25°C (77°F), offering warm weather and a slightly drier environment than Puerto Vallarta due to its geographical protection by surrounding mountains.​
