It began as a medieval fortress in the 15th century, was rebuilt into a Renaissance chateau in the late 16th century, and later gained its Baroque appearance in the 17th century. Today, it is owned and operated by the Moravian Museum and is known for exhibitions that present local history, archaeology, and traditional rural life.
