Orlík Castle is a historic Gothic castle perched on a rocky promontory above the Vltava River in the Czech Republic, originally built in the 13th century, likely by Ottokar II of Bohemia.

It has a rich history of ownership, passing through noble families including the Zmrzlík of Svojšín, Švamberk, Eggenbergs, and ultimately the Schwarzenberg family from the early 18th century, who made it their main residence and remodeled it in a Romantic Neo-Gothic style between 1849 and 1860.

The castle experienced fires in 1508 and 1802, with subsequent reconstructions including the addition of a fourth floor. Orlík houses well-preserved Empire-style interiors, Gothic elements like the Hunter's Hall and chapel, and a significant art collection. Adjacent to the castle is a large English-style park and the Schwarzenberg family tomb.

The construction of the Orlík Reservoir in the mid-20th century dramatically changed the landscape, turning the castle into a water castle surrounded by the reservoir's calm surface. Orlík remains a popular tourist site for history and nature enthusiasts, offering guided tours that highlight its architectural beauty, historical significance, and scenic views.
