Named for the noble Melgarejo family, whose heraldic emblems adorn its grand neoclassical facade featuring Tuscan columns below and Ionic ones above framing a balcony, it showcases a central Italian-influenced patio with geometric-decorated columns, a sweeping late-19th-century marble imperial staircase, and a modernist stained-glass window depicting rural allegories.
