Girona, Spain, Spain

Palau-Sacosta, also known as Palau Sacosta Castle, is a Gothic-style fortified manor house located southeast of Girona in the former village of Palau-sacosta, now part of the city since 1962, Catalonia, Spain.

Built around 1495 by Joan Sarriera, a prominent knight and Bailiff General of Catalonia during the Civil War, on the site of earlier 13th-century structures including a tower, it features a square layout with an interior courtyard, a square and a round tower earning it the nickname "Torres del Palau" vaulted ceilings, and arched passageways, with materials incorporating Jewish tombstones from Girona's medieval cemetery.
