Parke’s Castle is a beautifully restored early 17th century fortified manor house located on the northern shore of Lough Gill in Fivemilebourne, County Leitrim, Ireland. It was built on the site of an earlier tower house belonging to the powerful O’Rourke family, local Gaelic rulers of West Breifne. After the downfall of Brian O’Rourke, the property passed into English hands and was later developed by English planter Robert Parke in the 1630s. Today, the castle is known for its impressive mix of Irish and Plantation-period architecture, its scenic lakeside setting, and its carefully reconstructed interiors using traditional Irish oak craftsmanship.
