Built around a defensive tower from the 16th century within a large walled estate of about 18 hectares featuring gardens, fountains, ponds, and an ancient 800-year-old oak tree tied to local marriage legends, it belonged to noble families like Pardiñas and later the Marquis of Atalaya.
The imposing complex includes a central four-story tower, spacious restored salons for events and dining with traditional Galician cuisine by La Penela restaurant, a covered cenador, hórreo granary, crucero cross, and San Antonio chapel, now privately owned and popular for weddings amid its cinematic landscapes.
