Playa de los Bateles is the most popular and most visited beach in Conil de la Frontera, a charming town in the Province of Cádiz on Spain's Costa de la Luz.

This expansive urban beach stretches 850 meters long and 130 meters wide, featuring fine golden sand, clean waters with moderate waves, and a gently sloping shoreline that makes it ideal for swimming and long walks barefoot. Located directly in front of Conil's town center, it offers easy walking access from many parts of the town and is the closest beach to the historic center, making it a favorite among locals and visitors staying in Conil pueblo.

The beach has a lively, youthful atmosphere and is equipped with comprehensive services including showers, restrooms, lifeguard surveillance during summer months, wheelchair access, supervised parking with over 100 spaces, beach chair and umbrella rentals, wooden access walkways, a seaside promenade, and several beach bars (chiringuitos) serving local cuisine.

The mouth of the Salado River at one end of the beach is particularly popular for windsurfing due to favorable wind conditions. Playa de los Bateles holds the prestigious Blue Flag award for its excellent water quality and environmental management, and although it can be quite crowded during peak summer months (June through August), its wide expanse allows visitors to find space even when busy.
