Pyšolec is a ruined medieval castle located on a hill above the Vír II reservoir near the village of Vír in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.

It was likely built by the lords of Pernštejn in the late 13th or early 14th century and is protected as a cultural monument. The castle changed hands several times during its history, notably owned by the Moravian margrave Jan Jindřich in the mid-14th century who undertook renovations.

Despite efforts by the Pernštejn family to reclaim it in the 15th century, the castle was eventually abandoned and described as dilapidated by 1464. Today, remnants of the castle include parts of a large cylindrical tower, palace ruins, and fortifications. Archaeological finds from the site include medieval pottery, coins, personal items, and architectural fragments, shedding light on the life and status of its former inhabitants.

The ruins sit within a nature reserve and are accessible to visitors via hiking trails, offering a picturesque view of the surrounding landscape and the Svratka river meander that once also helped protect the castle.
