Qeret
Albania, Albania
Qeret (also spelled Qerret or Qereti) is a small coastal village in Tirana County, Albania, located along the Adriatic Sea in the Kavajë municipality, between the resort town of Golem and the city of Kavajë. It lies just south of the Bay of Durrës and is mainly known today as a low‑key seaside area that has grown into a minor beach settlement with scattered hotels and vacation apartments along the coast. The village has its roots as a 1920s settlement created for Albanian families displaced from the region of Podujeva in Kosovo, and it developed from a swampy coastal plain into a quiet residential and holiday spot close to Albania’s main coastal highway.
