Raškovice is a municipality and village in the Frýdek-Místek District of the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic, situated in the northeastern foothills of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy mountains at about 395 meters elevation, where the Morávka and Mohelnice rivers meet between Prašivá (843 m) and Kyčera (892 m) peaks.
Likely dating back to the 13th century as one of the region's oldest and largest settlements—once spanning areas now partly in nearby Morávka, Krásná, and Pražmo—it was definitively named in 1573 records on the Frýdek estate and may derive from settler Vojtěch Raška or abundant local wood sorrel (brhlík lesní), featured in its coat of arms since 1700.
Home to around 1,800 residents as of recent counts, it offers a rural setting with historical ties, surrounded by forests ideal for hiking amid the Beskydy landscape.
