The Remains of the Tower of Bones, known as Torre de los Huesos in Madrid, Spain, represent a rare surviving fragment of the city's 11th-century Islamic wall from the Caliphate era, located near Calle de Toledo close to the ancient Muslim cemetery of Huesa del Raf whose graves lent the tower its grim nickname.

Built as a defensive watchtower named Al-Qalʿat or part of Mayrit's fortifications under Emir Muhammad I around 860-871 AD, it protected trade routes and water sources in this strategic riverside settlement before the Christian Reconquista.

Now semi-buried amid modern buildings and declared a cultural asset, these weathered stone remnants offer a tangible link to Madrid's Moorish origins and frontier history.
