Roštejn Castle is a well-preserved late Gothic castle located in the forests near the village of Doupě in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.

It was built by the Lords of Hradec in the first half of the 14th century and originally served to protect the surrounding area and important routes. In the 16th century, the castle was transformed into a Renaissance hunting residence surrounded by a large game preserve.

One of its most distinctive features is its unusual seven-sided stone tower, which rises above the forest and offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. After suffering a major fire in 1915, the castle underwent extensive restoration and was reopened to the public in 1969. More recent renovations have further preserved its historic character and improved visitor facilities.

Today, Roštejn Castle is a popular cultural and tourist attraction, featuring exhibits on local history, nature, forestry, and hunting, along with interactive displays and scenic viewpoints that make it appealing to both families and history enthusiasts.
