Ruiny Zamku Destne
Jakartovice, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Ruiny Zamku Deštné in Jakartovice, Czech Republic, are the remains of a Baroque castle built between 1727 and 1730 by Karel Ferdinand ze Šercu on the site of an older fortress first mentioned in 1408.
The castle has a two-story, three-winged structure with a small courtyard and was later owned by the Renard family from 1761, who had to reinforce the building due to unstable ground. The ruins reflect the historical evolution of the site from medieval fortress to Baroque noble residence, marking an important local heritage site within the Moravian-Silesian Region.
