Ryazan Kremlin is the historic fortified core of Ryazan, Russia, perched on a steep hill overlooking the Trubezh River since the late 11th century, evolving from wooden defenses established after the Mongol sack of Old Ryazan into a stone citadel by the 15th century.

Its architectural highlights include the iconic 1693-1699 Dormition (Assumption) Cathedral in Naryshkin Baroque style by Yakov Bukhvostov, featuring five domes, intricate white-stone carvings on red brick, and complex vaulting rivaling Moscow's finest, alongside the soaring 86-meter Bell Tower completed in 1840 and the 15th-century Archangel Michael Cathedral serving as an archiepiscopal necropolis.

As one of Russia's oldest museums since the 19th century, it preserves medieval ramparts, 17th-century episcopal chambers like the "Palace of Oleg," and exhibits on regional history within a now-peaceful park setting surrounded by a dry moat.
