Schloss Kronporitschen, known as Konopiště Castle, is a historic château located in Benešov, Czech Republic. It was founded around 1294 by the Prague bishop Tobias of Benešov as a Gothic fortress inspired by French castle designs, featuring cylindrical towers and a drawbridge.

Over the centuries, it passed through the hands of various noble families, including the Sternbergs, Hodějovs, Wallenstein, and Vrtbas, who remodeled it in Renaissance and Baroque styles. In 1887, it became the residence of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, who transformed it into a luxurious home with extensive art collections and beautiful English-style gardens.

The castle is famous as the site connected to the heir whose assassination triggered World War I. Today, Konopiště Castle is a well-preserved historic site managed by the Czech state, open to visitors with interiors maintained as from Franz Ferdinand's time.
