The Shrine of Prophet Seth (Nabi Sheeth), also known as the Al-Nabi Shith Mosque, is a historic religious site in Mosul, Nineveh Governorate, Iraq.

It is traditionally believed to contain the tomb of Seth (Sheeth or Shith), who is regarded in Islamic tradition as a prophet and the son of Adam. For centuries, the shrine was an important place of worship and pilgrimage for local communities. The site originated as a shrine in the 17th century and was expanded into a larger mosque complex during the Ottoman period.

Over time, it became one of Mosul’s notable religious landmarks, featuring a mosque, mausoleum, and educational facilities. In 2014, the shrine was destroyed by ISIL during its occupation of Mosul, causing the loss of a significant part of the city’s cultural and religious heritage. Following the liberation of the city, reconstruction efforts were undertaken, and the mosque has been restored as a symbol of Mosul’s resilience and commitment to preserving its historic sites.
