The Solok Botanical Garden (Kebun Raya Solok) is a botanical garden located in Solok Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia, serving as one of West Sumatra's nature conservation and botanical research areas.
The garden is situated in the Solok region, which lies on the Trans Sumatra Highway approximately 64 kilometers from Padang and 76 kilometers from Bukittinggi, in an area known for its cool mountain air, beautiful landscapes, and impressive tea plantations that stretch as far as the eye can see.
The surrounding Solok Regency area has been documented for its rich plant diversity, including a nature reserve covering 6,150 hectares where research has recorded 90 plant species from 39 families and 61 genera, plus at least 126 orchid species collected for conservation purposes.
Like other Indonesian botanical gardens (Kebun Raya), the Solok garden focuses on conserving Indonesian native and endemic plant species while also serving as an educational facility, research center, and tourist destination for visitors interested in botanical knowledge and natural beauty in West Sumatra's highland region.
