Sövdeborgs slott, located in Sövde socken within Sjöbo Municipality in Skåne, Sweden, originated as a medieval bishop's estate possibly mentioned by Saxo Grammaticus as Sygostha, where Bishop Absalon was attacked in 1180, and was rebuilt around 1590-1597 by Frederik Lange on an islet in Sövdeborgssjön lake after Reformation confiscation.

Acquired by Tage Ottesen Thott in 1630, it gained northern wing additions and ornate interiors like the stensalen stone hall before passing to Rutger von Ascheberg in 1679 post-Scanian War, then through Meijerfeldt and Piper families with 1840s romantic medieval restoration by Carl Georg Brunius.

One of Skåne's best-preserved Renaissance castles among 200, the private structure features a round southeastern tower, English park with canals, and 17th-century carved ceilings owned by the Stjernswärd family.
