State Castle Libochovice is one of the finest early Baroque castles in the Czech Republic, located in the town of Libochovice in the Ústí nad Labem Region.

It stands on the site of an earlier Gothic fortress and was transformed into its present Baroque form between 1682 and 1690 under the ownership of Gundakar of Dietrichstein, with designs by Italian architect Antonio della Porta. The castle is known for its elegant architecture, arcaded courtyard, symmetrical gardens, fountains, and richly decorated interiors featuring collections of tapestries, glass, porcelain, and historic furnishings.

It is also famous as the birthplace of the renowned Czech scientist Jan Evangelista Purkyně, who was born there in 1787. Today, Libochovice Castle is owned by the Czech state, protected as a national cultural monument, and open to visitors through guided tours that showcase its history, art collections, gardens, and extensive historic cellars.
