Redesigned with towers and expansions over centuries, it passed through noble families before becoming a royal residence gifted to King Gustaf V in 1903 and now used by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia for private stays, blending historic architecture with modern royal functions amid surrounding agriculture and forests.
The private estate remains closed to the public but symbolizes Swedish royal heritage in a serene countryside setting.
