First mentioned in 1378 as Kysibl (German: Gießhübel) until 1949, it has approximately 600 inhabitants across parts like Stružná (284), Horní Tašovice (81), Žalmanov (141), Nová Víska (29), and Peklo (4), featuring mixed housing with family homes, panel blocks, and recreational properties amid the Chebská pánev landscape.
The Žalmanovský stream flows through, with water from local wells and the Luisa spring; basic amenities include a post office, and it's known for its peaceful, natural setting ideal for walks in the Slavkovský les protected area.
