Studénka is a town in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic with a population of about 9,000. It lies on the historical border between Moravia and Czech Silesia in a flat area near the Oder River. The town has medieval origins with its first mention dating back to 1436.
Originally an agricultural village, it expanded significantly with the opening of railway lines in the late 19th century and became a center for railway car production. The town features two Baroque buildings known as the Old Castle and New Castle, used today for cultural purposes and housing a Railway Cars Museum. Studénka also has a neo-Gothic parish church and various amenities supporting its local community and industry.
