Sturefors Slott
Sweden, Sweden
Sturefors Slott, located by Lake Ärlången near Linköping in Östergötland, Sweden, began as a 16th-century castle built by nobleman Ture Bielke, with only the north wing surviving from that era.
The current Baroque structure arose in 1704, designed by Nicodemus Tessin the Younger as a dower house for Carl Piper and his wife Christina Piper, featuring a three-story main building flanked by elegant wings and well-preserved 1700s interiors.
Owned by the Bielke family since 1752, the private estate boasts an enchanting English park from the 1700s with a mirror pond, labyrinth, and adjacent nature reserve, open for public walks amid serene oak pastures.
