Tanjung Lesung Beach, located in Pandeglang Regency at the western tip of Java in Banten Province, is a serene coastal retreat known for its sweeping white sand shoreline and tranquil blue waters. Stretching along 15 kilometers of coastline, the beach offers a picturesque escape from the bustle of Jakarta, which lies about 160 kilometers to the east.

Its calm waves and clear shallows make it ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and other water sports, while the surrounding coral reefs teem with marine life, drawing divers and nature lovers alike. Designated as a Special Economic Zone for tourism in 2012, Tanjung Lesung has been developed with resorts, recreational facilities, and infrastructure aimed at boosting both domestic and international tourism.

The area is also culturally significant, lying near Ujung Kulon National Park and Mount Krakatau, and has been recognized for its potential as a heritage and eco-tourism destination. Despite suffering damage from the 2018 Sunda Strait tsunami, the region has shown resilience, with ongoing efforts to revitalize its tourism appeal through improved access, including a new toll road and plans for a dedicated port and airport.
