Its horseshoe-shaped auditorium holds about 2,500 seated guests (up to 3,000 with standing room) and has hosted legendary performers like Maria Callas, Luciano Pavarotti, Igor Stravinsky, and Rudolf Nureyev.

Located in the city center near Plaza Lavalle and 9 de Julio Avenue, it serves as home to the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra and the city’s ballet company, with performances running from March through December. Declared a Historic National Monument in 1989, the theater underwent major restoration from 2006 to 2010 and remains an iconic symbol of Argentina’s cultural identity.
