TELEBORGS SLOTT
Växjö, Sweden, Sweden
Teleborgs Slott, located by Lake Trummen in Växjö, Sweden, was constructed between 1896 and 1900 by Count Fredrik Bonde as a lavish wedding gift to his young bride Anna Koskull, inspired by German medieval castles and designed by architects Harald Boklund and August Lindvall using granite and brick from local quarries.
The opulent structure features open fireplaces, ornate stucco work, and lavish interiors crafted by Sweden's finest artisans, though the couple's happiness was short-lived as Fredrik died in 1909 and Anna in 1917 without children, passing it to family who used it as a girls' boarding school, pension, and summer residence.
Acquired by Växjö municipality in 1964, the estate now thrives as a hotel, restaurant, conference center, and event venue famous for hosting SVT's "Stjärnorna på Slottet" in 2017-2018, blending romantic history with modern hospitality amid scenic parklands.
