The Tel Aviv University Botanical Garden—also called the Yehuda Naftali Botanic Garden—is Israel’s largest botanical garden, covering about 34,000 square meters (8–14 acres) on the university campus at 12 Klausner Street in Tel Aviv.
Established in 1972–1973, it serves as a green urban oasis and a center for botanical research, education, and conservation of rare and endangered plant species, housing approximately 3,800–4,000 plant species from Israel and around the world. The garden displays native flora from Israel and the Middle East (including plant communities from Mount Hermon to Eilat), plus specialized collections of tropical plants, medicinal plants, cacti and succulents, and unique worldwide species, and features the unique Sarah Racine Root Laboratory and the interactive Jack Benesch‑Bennett Garden for the Blind.
