Torre atalaya de la Porqueriza, also known as Torre de Tózar, is a Nasrid-era watchtower from the 14th century located near Tózar in the Moclín area of Granada province, Spain, at around 950 meters altitude as part of the defensive network protecting the Vega de Granada against Castilian incursions. This simple cylindrical masonry structure with a broad field of vision for optical signaling connected to nearby towers like Mingoandrés, it overlooks key routes amid layered archaeological remains including Roman silos, Copper Age dolmens, and Visigothic necropolises. Later reused with Civil War-era bunkers and machine-gun nests by Nationalist forces guarding roads to Olivares and Moclín, the well-preserved ruin stands as a testament to centuries of frontier vigilance.
