Constructed from masonry stone with two floors and a roof terrace to defend against Berber pirate raids, it formed part of the coastal vigilance network using fire and smoke signals, possibly built atop an earlier Arab structure.
Declared a Site of Cultural Interest since 1949, the authentically restored landmark now anchors a scenic garden with medieval cannons, overlooking golden beaches like Cala Capitán and offering panoramic Mediterranean views amid modern villas and promenades.
