Torre de Fuencubierta is a well-preserved 14th-century rural Christian tower near Torredonjimeno in Jaén province, Spain, built atop prehistoric Iberian cyclopean walls and a Roman settlement site between Torredonjimeno and Higuera de Calatrava. Likely constructed after territories passed from the Order of Calatrava to the Fernández de Córdoba family, it features detailed decorative elements like a prominent balcony with ajimez windows, merlons, and loopholes, reflecting a post-frontier era rather than urgent military needs. Declared a Historic Monument, the square tower stands on a loma beside a cortijo, showcasing layered history from Bronze Age túmulos through medieval señorío ownership.
