Torre de la Muña
Spain, Spain
Torre de la Muña is a 14th-century Christian rural tower, likely the sole surviving element of a small castle near Torredelcampo in Jaén province, Spain, declared a Cultural Interest Site. Named after an early owner called Doña Muña or Amuña, it features a square base measuring 8.2 meters per side, built with masonry and corner ashlars, including two vaulted floors connected by stone stairs and originally lit by loopholes now widened into windows. The site shows pre-Roman, Roman, and Islamic remains beneath, and after the Castilian conquest, it belonged to Jaén's council near Order of Calatrava lands, now privately owned within a farmhouse complex.
