Torreón dos Andrade
Pontedeume, Spain, Spain
Torreón dos Andrade is a robust 14th-century medieval tower in Pontedeume, A Coruña province, Galicia, northwestern Spain, built by Fernán Pérez de Andrade "O Boo" as part of a larger palace-fortress complex overlooking the Eume River.
Standing 18 meters tall with thick granite walls, Gothic windows, lobed arches, and a distinctive Seal of Solomon emblem on its facade, it served dual residential and defensive roles for the powerful Andrade family who dominated northern Galicia for centuries.
Now housing an interpretation center on the Andrade lineage and local history, the restored structure offers panoramic estuary views and stands as a key Camino Inglés landmark near the nearby Andrade Castle ruins.
