Třebíč Castle is a historic castle in the town of Třebíč that originated as a Benedictine monastery founded in the early 12th century.

Over time, the monastery was transformed into a Renaissance château and later received Baroque modifications, creating the impressive complex seen today. The castle stands alongside the Basilica of St. Procopius and forms part of the UNESCO-listed heritage site of Třebíč, recognized for its exceptional historical and cultural significance.

Its architecture reflects centuries of development, combining monastic, Renaissance, and Baroque features. Today, the castle houses the Vysočina Museum of Třebíč, where visitors can explore exhibitions on regional history, nature, medieval architecture, and the influential Waldstein family. The complex also includes a courtyard, herb garden, former ice house, and other historic features.

Located above the Jihlava River, Třebíč Castle is one of the city’s most important landmarks and offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience nearly a thousand years of Moravian history in a single site.
