Trolleholms Slott, located near Långaröd in Skåne, Sweden, originated as a 15th-century monastic estate called Kattisnabbe, with Danish councillor Tage Ottesen Thott building Eriksholm Castle there in 1538, which was burned by Danish forces in 1678 during the Scanian War.

Rebuilt in the 1750s to Rococo designs by architect Carl Hårleman under Fredrik Trolle, who renamed it Trolleholm, it underwent further modernization in the 19th century by the Trolle-Bonde family, including land reforms and a major rebuild in 1887-1889 that shaped its current romantic Renaissance appearance.

Today, the estate functions as a conference center, hotel, and working farm amid scenic wetlands, preserving centuries of noble heritage from Thott and Trolle lineages.
